Why the stand matters
A red light panel only delivers its stated output at a stated distance. If the panel is propped against a wall at the wrong height, or leaning at an angle, the figure on the product page stops describing what reaches you. A stand is what makes the measurement repeatable.
It also decides whether you actually use the device. A panel that has to be set up and packed away each time gets used less than one that is ready to go.
Choosing a stand
- Base Stand — for the smaller RLF panels. Free-standing on a table or the floor, no wall fixing needed. The simplest option for targeted use.
- Wide Base Stand — a wider footprint for the RLF750, RLF1500 and RLF3000. Metal construction, 50kg capacity, for stable free-standing use with larger panels.
- Pneumatic Floor Stand — gas-assisted height adjustment from 97.5cm to 136cm, for the RLF1500 and RLF3000. Move between seated and standing positions without lifting the panel.
- Vertical Floor Stand — full-height positioning for the RLF1500, RLF3000 and RLF6000, for standing whole-body sessions.
- Motorised Floor Stand — powered height adjustment for the larger panels. Worth it where the panel is moved between users or repositioned frequently, as in a clinic.
Getting the distance right
Dermfix publishes measured output at 15cm. Most home routines run between 15 and 30cm. Closer means higher intensity and a shorter session; further back means lower intensity across a wider area. Whichever you choose, a stand lets you return to the same position every time — which is what makes a routine comparable week to week.
Panels can also be wall-mounted where floor space is limited. Check the fixings and the weight of your panel before mounting; the larger RLF units are substantial.
Compatibility
Each stand lists the panels it fits. If you are unsure, the panel model number is on its product page in the red light panel range — match that against the stand description, or contact us and we will confirm before you order.
All stands are dispatched from UK stock with UK VAT included in the price shown.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a stand for a red light panel?
Not strictly, but it makes the treatment distance repeatable, which is what makes your sessions consistent. It also makes the panel far more likely to get used.
How far should the panel be from my body?
Typically 15 to 30cm. Dermfix publishes measured output at 15cm, so that distance is the reference point for the figures on each product page.
Which stand fits my panel?
Each stand lists the compatible models. Base and wide base stands suit the smaller and mid-size panels; vertical and motorised stands suit the RLF1500 upward.
Can red light panels be wall-mounted instead?
Yes, where floor space is limited. Check the fixings and the panel weight before mounting.
