The full Dermfix UK range

Dermfix Ltd manufactures two distinct families of phototherapy device, and it is worth being clear about which is which before browsing.

Red light therapy panels emit visible red and near-infrared light — seven selectable wavelengths from 480 to 1060nm across the RLF range — and no ultraviolet whatsoever. Output is measured with a spectrometer at 15cm and published per model.

Narrowband UVB 311nm lamps are ultraviolet medical devices, used in dermatology for psoriasis, vitiligo and atopic eczema. Handheld, targeted, and supplied with protective eyewear.

They are different treatments for different purposes. Neither is a substitute for the other.

Navigating the range

  • Red Light Panels — compact through to full-body, spectrometer-measured, seven wavelengths
  • Red Light for Face — the contact-free Halo LED, four wavelengths, usable anywhere on the body
  • UVB Narrowband Lamps — the 1000MX and 2000SX, plus tubes, lenses and protective eyewear
  • Stands for Panels — base, wide base, pneumatic, vertical and motorised, matched to panel model

Accessories and consumables sit alongside the devices they belong to: replacement 311nm tubes, comb and flat lenses, protective goggles and glasses, timers and carry cases.

What we publish, and why

Every light-emitting product on this store states its wavelengths in nanometres and, for the RLF panels, its measured output in mW/cm² at a stated distance of 15cm, taken on a spectrometer. We publish that figure per model rather than one headline number across the range, because panels of different sizes do not perform identically and quoting as if they do is misleading.

If you are comparing across brands, our UK buyer's guide sets out how to read an irradiance figure, why solar-meter readings run roughly double spectrometer readings, and what each panel on the UK market actually costs once import VAT is accounted for.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between red light therapy and UVB?
Red light therapy uses visible red and near-infrared wavelengths and emits no ultraviolet. Narrowband UVB at 311nm is ultraviolet, and is the wavelength used in dermatology for psoriasis, vitiligo and eczema.

Does Dermfix manufacture its own devices?
Yes. Dermfix Ltd has manufactured phototherapy devices under ISO 13485 since 2009, and stocks genuine replacement parts for them.

Do I pay import charges ordering from Dermfix UK?
No. Orders are dispatched from UK stock with UK VAT included in the price shown.
